You got to know when to fold them.
Well the Samsung Fold hit the market well it hit influencers and reviewers, and the results were not too good. Despite the glowing praise the Fold received on Day 1, Night 1 and Day 2 were not so good as more than a few recipients of the Samsung Fold had issues with the device. Mainly the screen breaking.
For many reviewers/influencers, the cause of the issue was that many of them remove the protective film covering the screen which despite the warning that told them not to. That's a topic for another day.
The Samsung Fold also had screen issues with people who didn't remove the film. Even worse most of those issues were all the concerns that most people had with a foldable device.
Samsung deserves credit for bringing such a device to the market, but the foldable phone/tablet concept isn't ready for prime time yet. That goes for the Mate X by Huawei as well.
And for all the orchard minions (Apple Users) proclaiming that this is why Apple hasn't released a foldable device yet and when it does it will not have such issues is way off point. First of all, Apple has quality issues all across the board with devices that have been in their stable for years, ie... The keyboard issues plaguing the MacBook Pro and the iPads that easily bend right out of the box.
The real problem is that 1st Gen tech sucks and while the foldable phone/tablet is something to marvel at it is not the next thing everyone wants it to be. For it something that's been done before its a phone/tablet it will not be long we find a way to eliminate the phone look and leave us with a tablet.
PS Dear Samsung though I am far from an influencer I can easily put the Samsung Fold through its paces and let you know what works and what does not.
