Once again, WhatsApp is having problems this time, Facebook's often maligned messaging app was hacked.

Click here and here for more information on the hack.

For WhatsApp, it's best days are in the rear and probably have been since Facebook purchased the company.

For a moment, I believed that Facebook would be so consumed with adding what made WhatsApp a quality app to Facebook Messenger that WhatsApp would somehow remain unscathed by Facebook.

However, the moment that WhatsApp founder pleaded for everyone to delete Facebook, I knew my hopes for WhatsApp would never be.

Not only has Facebook done its best to make WhatsApp just another messenger app, but they are also relegating it to being just another Facebook Messenger as headlines claim Facebook will make WhatsApp compatible with Facebook Messenger and Instagram Messenger.

For many of us in the States this may not be a big deal but too many people around the world, WhatsApp is more than a messaging app its how they communicate, conduct business, organize political rallies and protests.

Yes for many WhatsApp is a lifeline. So reducing it to nothing more than a Facebook hype machine shows a lack of understanding front the people at Facebook when it comes to WhatsApp.

The positive of Facebook's constant tinkering of WhatsApp is that it opens the door even for other and more secure messaging platforms such as Signal and Telegram
