While most of the tech world waits with great anticipation for Samsung and to a lesser extent Huawei. A little start-up company called Rouyu Technology has delivered the Flex Pai the world's first foldable phone. For more information on the Flex Pai click here.

While the Flex Pai is far from being the belle of the ball and I am quite sure Samsung's version will be aesthetically pleasing the question remains why does the world need foldable phones?

If it's for screen size the iPad Mini, Surface Go, and small screen Chromebooks will deliver a better screen experience.

I say this to bring up the question. Why do we need foldable phones? What purpose does a foldable phone serve besides being something new?

If you feel that the foldable phone is more than hype, please share your thoughts with me.
